Walking Robot

Great kit! The directions are clear and the video instruction is a really good addition to the kit. My grandson loves having a product he made himself and can play with again and again. Grandma loves that physics is integrated with play. A very fun and sturdy robot

12 year old loved it and was able to build it completely solo. It’s a great little project. Only 1 downside is it seems to lean to one side & not walk too far without a little prop up, but overall it’s great. 

My son's favorite Tinker Crate so far! Although it was tough to choose, they are all amazing!

Granddaughter (age 8 years) loved it!  However, she said she put it together in 7 minutes.

it was so easy to make it. It was so fun to build, but it was a little confusing to make, but I figured it out!

Putting together the robot was a great activity! It works well, and sparks a lot of questions. The one piece of constructive feedback I could give is the durability of the product. The first time the robot fell off the table the wood at the connection with the plastic leg bent, and began to crack. We noticed it wouldn't walk after that until we bent the plastic leg back into place, but the wood is very close to cracking. Aside from that I absolutely loved the product! The amount of background information included with the box and the zine made a very contextual and educational experience.

It worked great, but then the foot broke quickly.  Not enough width around where the orange pegs connect.

I actually ordered it for my nephew's birthday. But my 6 year old daughter convinced me to give it to her. I was unsure whether it would be appropriate for her age or not. But I wanted to encourage her. And she did make her first robot. The instructions were really easy to follow for her. 

My 7 yr old was able to build it completely by himself. It was a fun activity and he can’t wait to try the other robot ideas that came with it. 

The grandkids, ages 10, 11, and 12, lived their boxes. The sense of accomplishment was an amazing reaction. I will be getting more in the future.
